GE25: Parliamentary majority for the opposition would be the best result - but only if they implement their ideas

Voters should get the taste of the political alternative - but only if it includes all of its ideas.

It's easy to be an opposition politician (and supporter) in Singapore. You can forever claim superiority without ever doing anything. That is until you claim the policies implemented by the government were really your ideas.

Since opposition doesn't win much in national politics, and its responsibilities at the Town Council level are limited (while developments in all areas are still largely contingent on government money or private sector investments), its voters don't really know what they are even voting for.

And since it's also clear that far too many lack the critical ability to judge the opposition's proposals, I think it would be best if they had the opportunity to experience them first hand.

In the long run this would benefit the PAP as well. Allow me to convince you.
