Donald Low, the Singaporean academic whose main claim to fame was defending Amos Yee (now a convicted paedophile) as a role model for young Singaporeans, has now weighed in on Charlie Kirk.
What was his remarkable, intellectual contribution following the assassination of the man who actually deserved to be the role model for the youth?
"Karma's a bitch."

Yes, the professor in practice at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology shared an edited, cut clip of Charlie talking about second amendment rights, manipulated in a way I described in my previous Facebook post: removing the entire argument that Kirk made in its defence.
That is, explaining that under the 2nd Amendment Americans have the right to arm themselves against a potentially tyrannical government and that much like other things – in his example cars, which kill 50,000 (more recently 40,000) people in America – the society has made a decision to stick with its choices for the greater good (whether it's convenience, in the case of cars, or security and liberty, as in the case of gun ownership).
What's more, he discussed ways to reduce gun deaths and his comment about accepting some was merely an observation that you can never bring them to zero - which, again, is true of many other things:
You can view the entire clip here:
"So then, how do you reduce? Very simple. People say, oh, Charlie, how do you stop school shootings? I don't know. How did we stop shootings at baseball games? Because we have armed guards outside of baseball games. That's why. How did we stop all the shootings at airports? We have armed guards outside of airports. How do we stop all the shootings at banks? We have armed guards outside of banks. How did we stop all the shootings at gun shows? Notice there's not a lot of mass shootings at gun shows, there's all these guns. Because everyone's armed. If our money and our sporting events and our airplanes have armed guards, why don't our children?"
You may disagree with this view, but it's a different argument to that which Kirk is being accused of making: that he was a gun-loving American who callously claimed that having guns is worth having some people killed.
No, it's about protecting the fundamental freedoms of American people, on which the country was built and which are guaranteed by the Constitution.
Even though I'm against widespread gun ownership, I can understand that many Americans, witnessing the progressing march against civil liberties up and down the West, are not willing to give up their weapons. After all, several times more people are arrested today for social media posts in the UK than in Russia, 30 years after the British gun reform.
Meanwhile, Donald Low is not some random online commenter spewing rubbish on the internet, but a senior lecturer, professor, director working in education, who likes to lecture others – including the PAP – on politics and governance.
And yet somehow he couldn't be bothered to do basic research on the topic he made a remark clearly disparaging the murdered conservative speaker, who did nothing else other than trying to discuss things with people from across the political spectrum.
Has Mr. Low ever tried that? His own wall accepts comments from his friends only.
Yes, Donald Low callously implies that the dead father of two simply had his fate cooked up by "karma" because of what he allegedly believed in – which wasn't even true.
We can now clearly see why Singapore rejected him – he's just below any level that you would accept of an academic at a top university.
Donald Low, if you're reading this: you're a bitter middle-aged man with a baselessly bloated ego, so desperate for five seconds of online cheering from your hateful, ignorant supporters, that you just had to act clever about a murder of a 31-year-old who has achieved more than you will ever accomplish in your life.
He rallied thousands and his untimely death is only going to inspire millions more, while you couldn't make a dent even in your own tiny country despite having two full decades more on this planet.
Think about that next time you decide to open your mouth. Your comical Amos Yee blunder has taught you nothing.
